PHOENIX — High school students across the Valley are participating in a game using water guns called "Senior Assassin," and Valley police departments are taking to social media to remind kids to have fun while being safe.
Several Valley police agencies have posted warnings about the "Senior Assassin" game. The game involves groups of teenagers competing to "eliminate" or "tag" one another by spraying each other with water guns.

It can involve large groups of kids playing the game in parks, restaurants, shopping centers and neighborhoods, according to the Queen Creek Police Department.
QCPD said parents should talk to their teens about the potential dangers associated with the game.
The Chandler Police Department and the Gilbert Police Department both urged teens to ensure their water guns do not resemble real guns. A few other tips the agencies gave are:
- Make sure the water guns being used do not look like real firearms and are brightly colored
- Do not trespass on private property
- Do not play in business areas, especially parking lots
- Never aim or shoot at people that you know are not involved in the game
- Do not display water guns in a threatening or disorderly manner
- Know your teen’s whereabouts, who they're with, and what they're doing.
- Discuss the potential dangers of this game with your teen and how the game may be perceived by others who are unaware of what this game is.
The GPD also mentioned the fact that the "Senior Assassin" game is not sanctioned by any schools or the city of Gilbert. The CPD also called the game "unsanctioned" but QCPD did not mention whether or not the game was sanctioned.
