Crash in Phoenix leaves motorcyclist dead

The crash happened near Hatcher and Cave Creek Roads, Phoenix police said.

PHOENIX — A man who died after a motorcycle crash in Phoenix early Friday morning has been identified, city police said.

The crash, which didn't involve any other vehicles, happened near Cave Creek and Hatcher Roads around 4:40 a.m., according to early reports.

First responders took the man, later identified as 24-year-old Nathan Castro, to the hospital where he later died from his injuries. 

Police said it appears Castro was driving on Cave Creek Road at high speed and lost control while driving. The motorcycle left the road and hit several parked cars, police said.
