TEMPE, Ariz. — A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash in Tempe on Tuesday evening.
Tempe officers responded to 48th Street and Southern Avenue just before 6 p.m. for the crash, which involved a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle, according to Tempe police officials.
An initial investigation showed the driver of the vehicle failed to yield to the right of way when making a left turn at the intersection and hit the motorcyclist.
The motorcyclist was taken to a nearby hospital with life threatening injuries, Tempe officials said.
Impairment is not believed to be a factor. The crash is still under investigation.
