Motorcyclist hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after Tempe crash, police say

TEMPE, Ariz. — A motorcyclist has life-threatening injuries after an overnight crash in Tempe, according to authorities.

The Tempe Police Department said the crash happened early Saturday at around 2:30 a.m. near Rural Road and Apache Boulevard.

The rider was rushed to the hospital following the crash. An update on the individual's condition is not available.

"Speed is believed to be a factor for the motorcycle," police said in a news release.

Police did not release other details.
