Motorcyclist dies following crash in Mesa

No other injuries were reported, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.

MESA, Arizona — One person is dead following a crash on Saturday morning in Mesa, authorities said.

Maricopa County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a call just after 5:30 a.m. on Saturday for a crash near Signal Butte Road and University Drive. The crash involved a motorcycle and a vehicle, authorities said.

The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and no other injuries were reported. 

The MCSO Vehicle Crimes Unit is investigating the crash and did not release any further information, including what led up to the crash or the identities of the people involved.
