Mesquite Fresh Mexican Grill raising money to support those with breast cancer

Mesquite Mexican Grill is donating a portion of burrito sales through the end of October to Susan G Komen, a nonprofit which helps women navigate the disease.

MESA, Ariz. — Mesquite Fresh Mexican Grill is donating a portion of burrito sales to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation and in support of an employee who battled breast cancer.

Isabel Tolano is a prep cook at the Crismon and Southern location. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018 and is currently in remission. She'll still have to take chemotherapy medication for the next ten years.

In support, the restaurant decided to donate a portion of their burrito sales to the cancer charity. They've already raised more than $8,000 for Susan G Komen.

Mesquite Fresh Mexican Grill has 9 locations around the Valley. All of them are participating in the fundraiser through the end of October.
