MESA, Ariz. — A Mesa non-profit was burglarized, police say. According to the report, unknown suspects took approximately $30,000 worth of goods.

ASA Now, a non-profit that provides advocacy, support and assistance to children and families impacted by foster care, posted about the burglary on their Facebook page. The post said the burglary occurred over Easter weekend.

According to the report from the Mesa Police Department, unknown suspects allegedly drove a U-Haul onto the property, broke into a storage box and removed approximately $30,000 worth of items before loading the U-Haul and leaving the scene. Video surveillance did not capture any suspects or license plate numbers on the U-Haul, police said.

Mesa police said a representative of ASA Now called police to say some of the stolen property appeared to be advertised for sale on the app "Offer Up." An officer responded, but did not write up a report, police said. It is unclear why.

It took a couple days for me to write this because we were kind of in shock and this broke our hearts! Last weekend,...
