GOODYEAR, Ariz. — Authorities are asking for the public's help in finding a driver who allegedly fled the scene of a fatal crash after running over a motorcyclist Friday night.
According to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Department, the motorcyclist had been involved in a separate crash near Dysart Road and Rose Lane, north of Bethany Home Road in the West Valley.
He reportedly struck a construction sign, causing him to lose control of the motorcycle.

While the motorcyclist was lying in the roadway, a dark-colored pick-up truck allegedly ran over the motorcyclist before leaving the scene without stopping or calling 911.
The sheriff's office described the vehicle as "possibly a newer dark-colored pick-up truck," but was unable to provide further details. The truck was last seen driving north on Dysart Road.

Calls to Silent Witness are answered 24/7 by a live person and submitted tips are accepted at all times. Submitted tips are then sent to the detective(s) in charge of the specific case.
Individuals who submit tips that lead to an arrest or indictment in the case can get a reward of up to $1,000.
