GOODYEAR, Ariz. — A body was recovered Friday morning from a burned vehicle located south of Goodyear.
The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said deputies were dispatched at about 7 a.m. to the area of 143rd Avenue and Indian Springs Road for reports of a burning vehicle.
Upon arrival, they found a body inside the damaged car. MCSO said detectives are currently on scene investigating the circumstances leading up to the incident.
No details about the deceased have been disclosed.

The county’s seat is located in Phoenix, which is also the state capital and the census-designated 5th most populous city in the United States.
The county was named after the Maricopa, or Piipaash, Native American Tribe.
