Suspect accused of stabbing McDonald's and Starbucks employees in the Valley connected to New York City homicide

The 26-year-old suspect is accused of stabbing a Starbucks employee in her car in Phoenix and a McDonald's employee in the restaurant's bathroom in Surprise.

SURPRISE, Ariz. — A 26-year-old man has been arrested for his alleged involvement in multiple violent crimes, including a stabbing near a Starbucks in Phoenix, a stabbing at a McDonald's restaurant in Surprise and a homicide in New York City.

On Saturday around 2:30 p.m., court records say a Starbucks employee near 19th Avenue and West Glendale Avenue went to her car for a ten-minute break. Police say 26-year-old Raad Noah Almansoori walked up to her vehicle and opened her front driver's side door and pointed a gun in her face. He later told police he wanted to steal her car. He then pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times, including in her neck, face, ear and left hand. Surveillance footage showed him running away while the victim went to a nearby Banner Urgent Care facility for help.

The next morning at about 8:30 a.m., Surprise police officers responded to the McDonald's near Greenway and Reems roads and found a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was taken to the hospital and is recovering from her injuries.

Court records show Almansoori was eating inside the McDonald's and followed an employee into the women's bathroom. The employee was locked inside a stall and the suspect climbed underneath the door.

The suspect pointed a gun at her and started stabbing her when she began to scream, records show. The suspect then fled the McDonald's.

At around this same time, a car was reported stolen a few blocks away and the suspect matched the description of the man who allegedly stabbed the woman.

Police officers in Scottsdale later found the stolen vehicle and detained Almansoori.

Police said Almansoori allegedly admitted to both stabbings and reportedly told police he was wanted for a homicide in New York City, suggesting they Google it.

In a press conference on Tuesday, officials in New York City confirmed that Almansoori had also been identified as a suspect in a recent homicide at a SoHo hotel that occurred on Feb. 7 or 8.

Officials said Almansoori flew to Arizona on Feb. 12 shortly after he allegedly murdered the woman in New York City.

During an interview with police, Almansoori allegedly confessed he also hurt three additional girls in Florida. Officials are now working with the FBI to explore the possibility of additional victims.

Police say Almansoori has a lengthy criminal past, including crimes in Texas, Arizona and Florida. In April of last year, police said Almansoori kidnapped and sexually assaulted a woman. He was released months later after he posted bail. He had an outstanding warrant out of Texas for a family offense.

The suspect is now facing several charges in Maricopa County that could include attempted murder, aggravated assault, theft and robbery.
