PHOENIX — A man using a motorized wheelchair sustained serious injuries Monday morning after he was involved in a car crash in south Phoenix.
The individual was injured just before 10 a.m. near 7th Street and Southern Avenue, according to the Phoenix Police Department. He was taken to the hospital for serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said the involved driver remained at the scene and did not show signs of impairment. The crash remains under investigation and traffic through Southern Avenue may be restricted.
