LIST: Wednesday school closures trickle out as teachers continue walkout

Arizona school districts are announcing their plans for Tuesday as education leader announce walkouts will continue.

Arizona's largest teacher membership group is continuing a statewide walkout by public school employees.

The walkout started last Thursday and many school districts closed. Districts are now determining how long they'll stay closed as the walkout continues at least through Wednesday, leaders have announced.

It appears now that if legislators pass a state budget proposal they are weighing Tuesday, teachers will go back to work Thursday.

We're compiling a list as school districts announce their latest plans for the walkout. This list will be updated as more school districts announce their plans. This list includes school districts in 12 News' coverage area, mainly the Valley and northern Arizona. There are school districts in other parts of the state, such as Tucson, that are not reflected in this list.

If you know of a school closing that's not on the list, please email connect@12news.com.

If your child's district plans to close its schools, multiple businesses are stepping in to provide enrichment programs during the walkout.
