PHOENIX — A man who was shot and killed at a park in west Phoenix Thursday afternoon has been identified.

24-year-old Abdul Karim Bin Abdul Jalil died after being shot. Another man was shot and injured but is expected to be OK.

Officers were called to a neighborhood near 35th and Northern avenues just after 4 p.m. Thursday for calls about an unknown disturbance and found the two men. The early investigation revealed the two men were in an altercation with another person, who went to a car and came back with a gun. He fired shots at the victims before leaving the area, officials said.

No one has been arrested in the case, officials said. Details about what led to the shooting are being investigated.

Anyone with information is asked to call Silent Witness at 480(WITNESS) or 480(TESTIGO) and provide an anonymous tip. Rewards will be paid for information leading to an arrest in this case.
