Shooting in north Phoenix prompts large police response near I-17

PHOENIX — Phoenix police are investigating a shooting near 23rd Avenue and Dunlap Avenue, close to I-17.

The shooting prompted a large police response to the area in north Phoenix.

According to police, officers arrived and found a man with life-threatening injuries who was rushed to the hospital for treatment. An update on that man's condition is not available.

There are heavy traffic delays in several locations in the area.
