If you are out and about in the East Valley on Saturday, you can expect a few travel delays.
Several roads are expected to be closed Feb. 9 for the Mesa-PHX Marathon. The streets will be shut down for the event as the runners complete the course.
Here's everything you need to know if you will be in the area.

What roads will be closed?
Drivers in Mesa and nearby areas will encounter several closures on Saturday as runners make their way through the city. Traffic near the race will not be allowed to cross the race route during the event.
Several streets will be closed starting at 4 a.m. and will re-open in stages. It is expected for all streets to re-open by 1:30 p.m.
Brown and McDowell roads between Dobson and Ellsworth roads will be most impacted by the restrictions. For a full list of closures, visit the Mesa-PHX Marathon website.
How can I avoid the race route?
To steer clear of the race route completely, it is recommended that drivers use the 202 Red Mountain Freeway (north and east borders); the 101 Price Freeway (west border); and US 60 Superstition Freeway (south border).
