The driver of the stolen car stopped in a cul-de-sac and officers surrounded the vehicle. A passenger exited the car and complied with the officers' demands but the driver remained in the car.

Goodyear police said the teenage driver allegedly drove in the direction of where officers were standing and one officer fired at the vehicle.

After a police pursuit, the driver exited the vehicle and was taken into custody with the assistance of a police dog.

Neither the suspects nor the officers were injured in the shooting, according to Goodyear police.

The two juveniles, a 15-year-old and a 13-year-old, were taken into custody. One was treated for injuries unrelated to the shooting.
