GLENDALE, Ariz. — A 17-year-old boy is "fighting for survival" in the hospital after a shooting in Glendale Wednesday afternoon, city police said.
The teen was shot multiple times around 1 p.m. near 55th and Glendale avenues. The suspect in the shooting is unknown and ran away before officers arrived, Glendale police said.

The teen was taken to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. While police have notified his next of kin, his identity is being withheld due to him being a minor.
Detectives are still investigating to learn what led up to the shooting and catch the suspect.
