The free licenses are valid for 365 days of fishing and hunting.

GLENDALE, Ariz. - On Saturday, April 8, Valley residents will have a chance to grab one of the 1,000 free hunt/fish licenses being given out at a fishing clinic in Glendale.

The third annual "Hook a Kid on Fishing" event will cast its fishing rods at Bonsall Park from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The park is located 5840 W. Bethany Home Road.

According to a release, loaner rods will be available at the free fishing clinic. No licenses are required to take part in the fishing festivities and bait will be provided. The water will be packed full of catfish.
