CHANDLER, Ariz. — Anthony Canecchia, founder of the popular Arizona-based SanTan Brewing Company has died, the brewery announced Monday morning.
"We are deeply saddened to receive news of the passing of our very own Anthony Canecchia, founder of SanTan Brewing Company, a pioneer in his field. We ask for your patience and understanding as we make necessary arrangements and navigate the journey of grief," the brewery said.
Canecchia's career as a brewer in Arizona started in 1996 and since then the SanTan Brewing company has won medals at AmeriCAN Championships, Canfest Reno, the US Open Beer Championship and more.
The brewery did not share Canecchia's cause of death.
