SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Former NFL running back Eddie Lacy was arrested Monday in Scottsdale for alleged DUI charges, police said.

The football player was pulled over for a traffic stop near Scottsdale and Bell roads after police received a report of a possible impaired driver in the area.

Following an investigation by police, Lacy was taken into custody for alleged DUI and possession of an open container inside a vehicle, police said.

Lacy, 34, had played for the Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers during his NFL career.
