We've learned Vince Leonard, a 12 News anchor through the 1980s, died.
Leonard was 92. He came to Arizona to retired after a long, illustrious career in Philadelphia. 12 News KPNX's news director at the time found out Leonard was living in the Valley and asked Leonard if he wanted to "unretire" for one newscast a day. It was our good fortune that Leonard accepted.
Leonard anchored 12 News at 5.
"He was a mentor to me and many others here at 12," said Mark Curtis, 12 News anchor. "He will be missed."
