PHOENIX - The FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is asking for the public's help in identifying the "Goldeneye Bandit" who is believed to be responsible for two bank robberies that occurred in the Valley last week.

The most recent robbery occurred Thursday at the Deer Valley Credit Union near Greenway Road and the I-17.

Another similar incident that appears to involve the suspect occurred on August 18 at the Chase Bank near Central Avenue and Osborn Road.

Officials say the "Goldeneye Bandit" got his nickname because he was described as wearing gold-rimmed glasses during the robberies.

No one was physically injured and no weapon was seen in either of the robberies.

The suspect is described as a 40- to 60-year-old white man who is 5-foot-5 and around 200 pounds.

Anyone with information regarding these robberies is asked to contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS (948-6377).
