PHOENIX - The FBI and Scottsdale Police Department will release new age-enhanced photos of Robert William Fisher, a fugitive who will have been on the run for 15 years this Sunday.
There will be a news conference at the FBI Division Headquarters in Phoenix Friday afternoon to release the updated photos.
Fisher, now in his mid-50s, is accused of killing his wife and two children, then setting his Scottsdale home on fire. Authorities believe Fisher slit the throats of his children, Brittany and Robert Jr., and then shot his wife Mary in the head.
Fisher's wife's SUV was found 10 days later in the mountains near Payson, along with the family dog. A search of the woods and caves around Payson led to no signs of the fugitive.
He's on the FBI's 10 Most Wanted List, but the avid outdoorsman, former firefighter and Navy veteran is believed to have been prepared to live a life on the run.
Officials from the FBI said Fisher could still be in Arizona.
"I don't think there's any reason to think he's not alive," Justin Tolmedo, the acting special agent in charge, said.
He's wanted on three counts of first-degree murder, arson and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
The last known photo of Fisher is from 1999.
Anyone with information on Fisher is asked to contact the FBI through its online tip form or anonymously through Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
