LOS ANGELES — Actress Emma Stone turned out to display some hometown pride in Los Angeles as she watched the Phoenix Suns defeat the Lakers.
The Oscar-winning actress showed up sporting a Suns hat and watched from the sidelines as the her hometown team win 127-109 Thursday night.
Stone, who grew up in the Valley before venturing to Hollywood as a teenager to pursue an acting career, attended the Suns game alongside director Yorgos Lanthimos, who has worked with Stone on "The Favourite" and "Poor Things."
At one point during the night, a fan was seen offering the game ball to Stone after it went into the crowd during the game's second half.
The Suns certainly enjoyed seeing Stone's presence cheering from the crowd, as the NBA team was quick to acknowledge the "La La Land" star on social media.
Stone, 35, was born in Scottsdale and acted in several productions at Phoenix's Valley Youth Theatre.
