PHOENIX — An elderly man was pronounced dead after being pulled out of a pool in north Phoenix Friday night, according to officials with the Phoenix Police Department.
First responders were called to a neighborhood near 28th street and Cactus Road after 8:30 p.m. after receiving a call about a drowning, officials said. When they arrived, they found a man in his 80s who was unresponsive in the pool.
The man was "determined to be beyond resuscitative efforts" and pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
The victim's identity has not been released.
