Dutch, Flemish prime ministers to visit Arizona

The prime ministers are visiting as part of an “economic mission,” according to a press release.

PHOENIX — Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Flemish Prime Minister Jan Jambon will visit Luke Air Force Base, which is the training ground for Dutch F-35 pilots. Their visit to Arizona is part of an “economic mission to the United States,” according to a press release.

Rutte will also visit Dutch companies which are part of the “economic mission” in Arizona. Rutte will visit Waymo, take part in a roundtable discussion with Dutch and American companies at the Thunderbird School of Global Management, and meet with Arizona State University officials and Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego. 

According to the press release, the jobs of 1 million Americans are supported by trade and investments with the Netherlands – 1,022,743 jobs in 2023. Of that number, 15,000 jobs are located in Arizona.
