Police: Car plows into Valley house as driver tries to flee from cops

Police said the driver was taken into custody and taken to a hospital for precautionary measures.
The crash happened at 59th Avenue and McDowell Road, causing significant damage to the building's exterior.

PHOENIX — A driver crashed their car into a Phoenix residence early Friday morning after he attempted to evade police officers.

At about 2 a.m., officers in the area of 59th Avenue and McDowell Road tried to conduct a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle. The driver failed to stop and continued driving into a residential area, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

The driver lost control and crashed their vehicle into several cars and a house. Police said the driver was taken into custody and taken to a hospital for precautionary measures. No other injuries were reported. 

The house's front exterior sustained significant damage from the collision.
