For the second time in less than a week, Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers caught a Valley driver breaking the HOV Lane rules.
This time, it was with a fake baby.
"Another One Busted!" the department tweeted Wednesday morning.
According to DPS, troopers stopped a driver on Sept. 11 just before 6 p.m., right smack dab in the middle of the evening rush hour.
The driver was traveling in the eastbound HOV Lane of Loop 202 San Tan near Alma School Road, which would have been fine if she had two people in her car. But she didn't.
"a person shall not drive a vehicle carrying fewer than two persons, including the driver, in a high occupancy vehicle lane at any time the use of the high occupancy vehicle lane is restricted to vehicles carrying two or more persons, including the driver."
The woman was driving with a baby doll in what looks like a car seat. DPS said it was the second time troopers caught someone breaking the HOV lane law with a fake person.
According to DPS, the 48-year-old woman told troopers she was on her way to pick up her grandkid.
