PHOENIX — March 14 is a delicious day.
On the 14th day of the third month, math and pie lovers alike celebrate the irrational number Pi that approximately equals 3.14. And what better way to do that than eating pie?
There are lots of national Pi Day deals including discounts at Blaze Pizza, California Pizza Kitchen and even Whole Foods Market.
Locally, you cash in on deals on fruit pies and pizza pies at these businesses:
Bashas’ Supermarkets
The Arizona grocery store is offering half-size pies for just $3.14. Pies in flavors apple, apple crumb, peach, cherry, pumpkin and blueberry, from Wednesday, March 13 through Tuesday, March 19.
Giordano’s
Giordano’s is offering $3.14 off every large pizza order on Pi Day at its Paradise Valley and Peoria locations.
Kneaders
At Kneaders, pie lovers can get a slice of pie for just a $1.50 with any purchase. According to a press release, the company's best selling pies last Pi Day were pies with raspberry cream cheese, coconut cream, chocolate and banana cream pie.
Kneaders isn't local just to Arizona, but the Utah-based company is just in six western states.
Sauce Pizza and Wine
Cheese pizzas will be just $3.14 on March 14. Sauce Pizza and Wine guests will need to mention Pi Day when ordering for dine-in.
Spinelli's Pizzeria
Tempe's Spinelli's Pizzeria is offering pizza slices for just $3.14. Spinelli's has been serving Philadelphia-style pizza on Mill Avenue since 2014.
