SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Indianapolis Colts defensive lineman David Parry was arrested early Saturday morning on suspicion of assaulting an Old Town Scottsdale cart driver and stealing his cart.
The driver told police Parry hit him in the head after he dropped Parry and two other men off at an apartment complex near Osborn and Scottsdale roads.
According to police, the driver said Parry sped off in the cart, which was found later after a 911 hit-and-run call, crashed into a gate at the complex.
Police found Parry near the cart on the sidewalk and he showed signs of drunkenness.
Investigators determined there was no connection between Parry and the two other men who were riding, and police arrested him.
He faces charges of robbery, auto theft, criminal damage, resisting arrest and DUI.
The Colts took Parry in the fifth round of the 2015 draft out of Stanford.
He's started every game of his two-year career, totaling 78 tackles and 4 sacks.
