PHOENIX - Though a ballpark frank may be first to come to mind when thinking of baseball food, It's not all hamburgers and hot dogs at Chase Field. And animal rights activists are taking notice.
PETA is highlighting some vegan options at ballparks across the country, ranking 10 stadiums with the best meatless options. PETA tasted vegan options at all 30 Major League stadiums to compile this list.
The home of the Diamondbacks earned the #5 spot on that list with four vegan eats.
Vegan options at Chase Field
1. Beyond Meat Classic Vegan Burger complete with vegan mayo
2. Sonoran Vegan Wrap with vegan chicken and chipotle Vegenaise
3. Seared Tofu Flatbreads
4. Classic Field Roast Frank
The Minnesota Twins' Target Field topped PETA's list. There, you can also find Field Roast dogs and burgers and then some. According to PETA, Target Field serves vegan pizza, tacos and burritos, as as well as Sriracha brats and Italian sausages from The Herbivorous Butcher in Minneapolis.
Other parks on the list include Globe Life Park in Arlington -- home of the Texas Rangers -- Citi Field (New York Mets) and Citizens Bank Park (Philadelphia Phillies).
It's also worth mentioning that Chase Field is the only stadium in the NL West represented in the ranking. So not only are the Arizona Diamondbacks currently leading the division on the field, they're ahead at the concession stand too.
