PHOENIX — An Amber Alert was canceled by authorities after three children and their father have been found safe Wednesday morning.
According to officials, the Chandler Police Department located Stephan Robinson and the children at a relative's home.
Authorities are still investigating the incident.
Det. Seth Tyler with the Chandler Police Department said the argument was believed to have started over the phone with the children's mother, who lives out of state.
It was not a custody issue, Tyler added.
The alert was first issued for the three children after they were believed to be taken by their father in Chandler late Tuesday.
They were believed to be taken around 11:30 p.m. It wasn't immediately known where they were taken from or taken to.
According to the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children, Robinson "took the children threatened to kill them and commit suicide."
