PHOENIX — A shooting in central Phoenix wounded one, police said.
Phoenix police responded to the area of 1-17 and Indian School Road regarding a shooting. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man with a gunshot wound.
The man was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
A man was detained after running from the scene of the shooting, according to police. Detectives have since taken over the investigation.
The suspect is currently being interviewed and police said he will be booked at a “later time” on multiple felony charges related to the investigation.
The identity of the man suffering from a gunshot wound, as well as the identity of the subject, were not released.
