Car crash leaves some in a Surprise neighborhood without power

Approximately 348 homes are without power in the Coyote Lake residential community, police say.

SURPRISE, Ariz. — A car crashed into an APS power box, causing over 300 homes to experience a power outage, Surprise police said. North and southbound traffic on Coyote Lakes Parkway will be affected during the repairs. 

The car crash involved one vehicle, police said. Approximately 348 homes are without power, however APS has been contacted and is "responding to restore power" in the area, police said. There is not an estimated time for the power to be restored. 

Traffic is restricted on Coyote Lakes Parkway, which is a residential street, for repairs, police said.
