PHOENIX — The Buckeye Police Department has identified the woman captured on video surveillance attempting to run from a vehicle at a local Circle K gas station.

On Feb. 23 at about 10 p.m., an SUV pulled into the Circle K on Watson Road near Interstate 10. A woman is seen exiting the passenger side of the vehicle and running toward the store. Then a man is seen getting out of the driver's seat and chasing after the woman, grabbing her and shoving her back into the vehicle.

The car then drove off from the gas station.

"We have received the one call from the one witness that night, we have received no other information from anybody," Sergeant Tamela Skaggs with the Buckeye Police Department said at a news conference Thursday.

When asked why it took so long for police to release the information, Skaggs said it was due to a video quality issue.

"There was an issue with the quality of the video, so our detectives have been involved in investigating it and they were just able to obtain some better quality video, that's why it was put out to social media and the public," Skaggs said.

Buckeye police said on March 5 that they had made contact with the woman in the video, confirmed she was not injured and offered her services. Investigators believe this was an incident of domestic violence.
