PHOENIX — A police investigation is underway after a person was found dead in a Phoenix canal on Monday.
First responders were initially called for a water rescue near 64th Street and Indian School Road shortly before 9 a.m.
Phoenix police stepped in to handle the investigation when it was learned that the person was deceased.
