PHOENIX — Multiple lanes of traffic along I-17 in Phoenix were closed off Friday morning after a body was discovered on the dirt median of the highway.
DPS says the body was found on the right shoulder of the highway near Thunderbird Road.
Troopers blocked off all lanes except the left and HOV lanes. The roadway reopened around noon.
DPS said the person found dead was possibly the victim of a hit-and-run.
The identity of the victim is not yet known.
