QUEEN CREEK, Ariz. — An investigation is now underway after crews found a body in a home after a house fire in Queen Creek, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.
Queen Creek police told 12News that firefighters from the Queen Creek Fire and Medical Department responded to a house fire at a home on the 26600 block of South 187th Street at about 4 p.m. on Saturday. That is near the intersection of Power Road and Hunt Highway.
MCSO later told 12News that after the fire was put out, a body was found in the home.
Detectives are now headed to the home to begin investigating how the person found inside the home died.
MCSO said, "Nothing else is known about this incident at this time."
