PHOENIX — A bicyclist has died after they were struck by a vehicle in Phoenix early Tuesday morning, the city police department announced.
The crash happened near 21st and Northern avenues just after 5:30 a.m., according to early reports.
When officers arrived, they found the man "on the ground with obvious signs of trauma." First responders rushed him to the hospital where he later died.
The man's identity hasn't been released.
Police said that the driver involved in the crash stayed on scene and didn't show any signs of impairment.
Investigators expect to have more information soon.
