Be prepared: Where to grab free sand, bags around Phoenix

Select locations all over the Valley and in Tucson offer free sand and bags for residents.

The City of Mesa has sandbags available at several locations.

It's raining, it's pouring and the old man better be prepared and not just snoring.

Floodwaters can be detrimental, so it's always best to be prepared to protect yourself and property.

As soon as you hear of a flood watch or advisory that means it's probably a good idea to get the sandbags and other safety precautions ready -- and in some cases, maybe even before that.

Select locations all over the Valley and in Tucson offer free sand and bags for residents.
