A BASE jumper was rescued by multiple agencies after getting stuck on a sheer face of the Superstition Mountains Sunday, according to Superstition Fire and Medical.
Using a helicopter, crews were able to get the base jumper off the face successfully.
Superstition Fire and Medical said the patient had no injuries.
The Phoenix Fire Department used a helicopter to rescue a 49-year-old man from Piestewa Peak on Sunday, after the man fell about 40 feet while free climbing and was temporarily knocked unconscious.
The man said he believed he was unconscious for about 10 minutes before he called 911.
He said he was hiking off trail and alone when he was injured.
No firefighters were injured.
