1 man flown to hospital after ATV crash near Lake Pleasant

The crash happened near Lake Pleasant, a popular lake just north of Peoria on Saturday. Here are the latest details.

PEORIA, Ariz. — One man was flown by helicopter to a Valley hospital after an ATV crash near Lake Pleasant, according to the Peoria Police and Fire Departments. 

Peoria fire told 12News that firefighters were called to an area near Castle Hot Springs and Cow Creek roads, just north of Lake Pleasant on Saturday due to an ATV crash. 

At the scene of the crash, firefighters found a man with traumatic injuries and they decided that due to how severe his injuries were and the remote location of the crash that he needed to be flown by helicopter to a Valley hospital. 

Peoria police are investigating the crash. The department said the ATV was the only vehicle involved in the crash and the cause of the crash is not yet known.  

The man who was injured has not been identified.
