ASU Police searching for campus flasher

A student was inside ASU's psychology building when she was flashed by man, according to police.

TEMPE, Ariz. - Another flasher is on the loose Friday after Arizona State University campus police say a man exposed himself to a female student.

The incident occurred just before 7 p.m. on Thursday inside ASU’s psychology building.

A flyer distributed by ASU Police includes a screen shot of the suspect from security camera footage. He is wearing a Captain American T-shirt and believed to be about 5-feet-10-inches tall with an average build. His age is estimated between 20 and 30 years old.

"It’s scary to know you could be walking around campus and like someone just comes out of nowhere," said Micaela Evangilista, a sophomore student. "It’s pretty scary."

The incident just the latest in a string of sex crimes both ASU and Tempe police say has happened this semester.

Back in late January, a student on campus reported a man grabbing her butt and then running off.

A couple days later, another student says a man flashed her in a parking garage. And after that, an incident occurred off campus, when a man groped a woman before getting away.

"I feel the most safe on campus, actually," said Nikole Sciortino, a sophomore student. "Compared to when I have to walk from my apartment to the light rail. That’s where things get more sketchy."

ASU Police say they have not made any arrests with any flashing cases that have occurred this semester and are urging anyone who recognizes this face to contact their department at (480) 965-3456.
