Teens commit armed robbery of another teen, Phoenix police say

Three suspects were detained following the alleged armed robbery on Saturday evening, police say.

PHOENIX — Three teens have been arrested after allegedly committing an armed robbery of another teen in west Phoenix on Saturday night, the city's police department said.

Phoenix police responded to the area near Thomas Road and 75th Avenue around 5 p.m. for reports of an armed robbery. When officers got to the scene, they learned multiple suspects with firearms committed an armed robbery of a teenage boy.

The boy was able to provide a suspect description as well as a suspect vehicle description. 

Officers located the suspect vehicle and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. After pursuing the vehicle and conducting surveillance, the vehicle was tracked and found by police.

Police said the suspects ran away from the vehicle, but all three were located and arrested. Police said the three suspects are all teenage boys and were arrested facing multiple charges, including armed robbery. At least one firearm was found, police said.
