TEMPE, Ariz. — An attempted robbery recently occurred at Arizona State's campus, ASU police announced Friday.
Arizona State University police received a report of a robbery that occurred earlier in the week near Tyler Mall. An unknown person approached the victim between the Life Science E wing and Life Science C wing and pulled out a knife, demanding the victim's backpack.
The victim then reportedly sprayed the suspect with pepper spray and ran, police stated. The victim is a contracted employee working on campus.
Police said the suspect was a white man, about 6 feet 2 inches tall, with a thin build and was wearing a dark blue trench coat. An arrest has not been made, police said.
