Apparent hacked construction sign in Phoenix displays anti-Israel messaging

The sign does not belong to ADOT and authorities are aware of the issue, officials said.

PHOENIX — An apparent hacked construction sign in Phoenix was seen displaying profanity and anti-Israel messaging early Wednesday morning.

The sign was spotted near Camelback Road and Interstate 17 and read "F--- Israel Save Gaza."

The Department of Public Safety confirmed that the sign is not Arizona Department of Transportation property.

"We have been trying to track down info and at this time we can confirm the issue with the sign has been resolved, but we are still working through other details on whose sign it is, and to also ensure this does not happen again," a City of Phoenix official said.

12News has reached out to Phoenix police for more information.
