PHOENIX — Four people, including a teenager, were shot and injured early Sunday morning in central Phoenix, police said.
Phoenix police officers responded to the area of 19th Avenue and Indian School Road regarding a shooting. When officers arrived at the scene they found multiple people with gunshot wounds – three men and one teenager.
The four people with gunshot wounds were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. It appears that an argument occurred at a large gathering nearby and the four people were shot during the incident, police said.
The area is closed for investigation, according to police.
The identities of those who were shot have not been released. Police said additional information about the incident remains part of the investigation.
