PHOENIX — The Phoenix Police Department is looking for the motorist who fatally struck a man Wednesday night near 67th Avenue and Buckeye Road, according to Phoenix police.
Ray Welch, 39, died after he was hit by a car as he was walking across Buckeye Road at about 7:45 p.m. The unidentified driver did not remain at the scene. Police said Welch was walking outside of the marked crosswalk when he was hit.
Police are still attempting to locate the driver and anyone with information can call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
A description of the suspect's car was not disclosed.
Silent Witness:

Calls to Silent Witness are answered 24/7 by a live person and submitted tips are accepted at all times. Submitted tips are then sent to the detective(s) in charge of the specific case.
Individuals who submit tips that lead to an arrest or indictment in the case can get a reward of up to $1,000.
