24-year-old man killed in Phoenix crash

The crash happened around 4:30 a.m. at 35th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road.

PHOENIX — A man who died following a two vehicle crash in South Phoenix that also restricted 35th Avenue in between Lower Buckeye Road and Durango Street has been identified by officials.

Giovanni Hermosillo Falcon, 24, died at the scene of the crash, Phoenix police officials said.

Phoenix police responded to the “serious” vehicle crash near 35th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road just after 4:30 a.m. on Saturday morning. When officers arrived at the scene, they found an SUV and a 10-wheel dump truck had collided.

The driver of the dump truck was not injured and remained on scene.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the crash. At this time, police believe speed of the SUV may have been a factor in the crash.
