AVONDALE, Ariz. — A school bus was left on its side after a crash involving two vehicles in the southwest Valley Wednesday morning.
The crash happened at El Mirage Road and Southern Avenue, which is near the ISM Raceway.
A white pickup truck ran a stop sign and crashed into a Littleton Elementary School District school bus, Rural Metro Fire officials said.
According to Rural Metro Fire officials, they were treating three patients with minor injuries.
Fire officials said six students and a driver were on board the bus. The driver was taken to a hospital.
In a statement sent to 12 News, the school district said all the children on the bus have been reunited with their families.
"We are so grateful that everyone walks away with only minor injuries," Rita Sanchez with the school district said in the statement.
